Aleza and Sarah are both SEL Specialist with Austin ISD. Both are interested in equity-centered SEL relational practices that build educator agency and collective efficacy. A key factor in the on-going work of moving towards equity in our public schools is resilience. As Dr. Angela Davis says, "We must learn to lift as we climb." We love to talk about SEL and how we can take care of ourselves and each other while we work towards eradicating the predictability of who succeeds and who does not in our education system.
